Dell has announced a major change in its PC branding, it is moving away from long-standing product names like XPS, Inspiron, and Latitude in favor of a simplified naming scheme reminiscent of Apple's approach.

LAS VEGAS, NV — Just ahead of the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the company said decades-old names for PCs such as XPS and Inspiron are going away. A more simplified branding approach will be taking their place featuring three tiers: Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max.

It's out with the old, as Dell ushers in a new naming scheme for its wares, with just Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max taking over.

Dell announced that the XPS brand is dead, and its computers will have more straightforward names going forward.
