A New York Knicks trade idea would send Mitchell Robinson and others to the Detroit Pistons for Isaiah Stewart.

According to SNY's Ian Begley, Knicks fans will be waiting a while longer to see their 7-foot center back in the rotation. Begley reported that both the Knicks and Robinson's camp have been approaching his rehab cautiously, meaning New York is aiming for a return to the court between December and January.

Robinson underwent surgery on his left ankle in May to address a stress injury after having undergone a procedure on the same ankle last December. His recovery is ongoing, and both Weitzman and Begley suggest that the Knicks and Robinson are targeting a return in December or January.

As things stand now, the Knicks will enter one of the most anticipated seasons in recent franchise history with Precious Achiuwa, Jericho Sims and All-Star forward Julius Randle likely to share the five-spot minutes.
