The Rear/Right head calls for 89 inch pounds if want to check them but rarely do they back off. Early builds have the water pump drive off the Intake Cam. Late builds have it driven off the Exhaust cam.

Marshall replaced that engine after the first engine was trashed in the first 5 minutes of operation. Second problem is the UOA showed minor copper.

The reason for replacement was blown head gaskets, caused by the customer getting in a wreck and tearing the front end off the truck. He then proceeded to keep driving until it got so hot it popped.

网页2005年10月5日 · Some of the earlier Mexico engines got a bad rap on internet forums but they newer ones have been fine. 3yr/100K warranty on them. With the price of decent internals and fewer and fewer good automotive machinist its really not a bad option.

My only experience was with a Jasper remanufactured I had installed into my 1995 Escort at around 72.5K miles in around 2002 after it dropped a valve seat. That engine was still in the car, and working fine when I got rid of it last fall (2020) at around 265K miles.

Raise it up a bit, anything connected between the engine and body gets sawzall'd. Ka-chunk, subframe and engine/tranny thud onto the ground.

网页2005年2月27日 · After 1st shut down, immediately change the oil/filter. Allow engine to completely cool down. Reprime the oil system and treat it like a brand new car for 500 miles. After 500 miles, change the oil to the Havoline. There is no reason to waste the Havoline synth on the intial 20 minute 1400-3100 rpm run in, and the 500 mile rinse.
