Connecting a second 4-Ohm extension cabinet is "flirting" with danger, but using anything more than a 16-Ohm load speaker setup (like three 8-Ohm speakers wired in series) is more likely to damage the amp.

The gain from both are surprising and with both having a master volume as well, they are pretty good for home/practice amps although the VC50 can hang in a club setting and easily match your drummer. In fact, the harder and louder you push the VC50, the better it sounds.
