But when installing UV lights on existing systems, 99% of them are inch and a half ductboard, I assume this is better than one inch board when it comes to detioration from the UV light. I've never heard of UV lights to not be installed in ductboard. I've installed many in it.

For the first 2 days the air coming into the house through the vents had a peculiar odor, kind of like that "Just turned on the heater for the first time in the winter" odor, but not exactly that same odor. This typically goes away after a short time and is not noticeable.

I feel it was worth the premium to get the design benefits of a kit specifically for the Hyperion. Installation was straight forward.
