It's free and the code is open source (GPLv3). At this time, it work for Windows 64b and Linux 64b (tested under Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS).

The works produced by the great people here deserve more distribution. I hope Gem helps people enjoy the audio books better than the ones in the market. Let me know if you have any questions!

Plus, I'm not fond of dramatised versions of books--usually, the music and sound effects are much too loud, whereas the speaking isn't loud enough, so you don't understand what people are saying, plus, you have to fiddle with the volume permanently.

网页2011年2月21日 · I also love audio books personally for listening while driving or other activities, so I would love to help record so others can have them. The fact that they are available for free is wonderful. On a selfish level, it also seems like a great chance to become familiar with books I haven't read yet and expand my repertoire a bit.
